The Challenge

Bryce had the experience, the reputation, and a freshly created brand—but no website. That meant no way to professionally present his services, no visibility in search engines, and no straightforward way for people to contact him. He needed a digital front door that was simple, fast, and effective, without overcomplicating the tech behind the scenes.

“I’m ready to grow, but I need somewhere to send people. And I don’t want it to look like it was built in the 90s.”Bryce

Thanks for the clarification! Here's the revised and accurate version of Case Study 2, reflecting that the site was fully hardcoded (no CMS) to keep development time fast and maintenance simple for the client. This version also keeps the correct semantic structure using headings from h1 to h4.

The Solution

The solution was to build a lightweight, fast, and fully hardcoded website, with clear design, custom copy, and no bloated tools or backend interfaces. This approach allowed us to deliver a custom site tailored to Bryce’s needs quickly, with minimal maintenance, and no need for ongoing tech support.

Style Ideation and High-Fidelity Design

We started with design exploration in Figma, guided by the branding system established in Phase 1. The goal was to create something clean, structured, and modern, without being flashy or overly complex. Five high-fidelity page designs were created: Home, Services, About, Contact, and Products. The layout used a flexible 12-column grid system that adapts to desktop and mobile devices, and every detail—padding, font scale, spacing, was intentionally kept minimal and elegant. Navigation and footer components were designed with clarity and reusability in mind.

Content and Copywriting

Once designs were signed off, I moved into writing all of the website’s content. Every page was carefully crafted to match Bryce’s tone: direct, reliable, and approachable. The homepage introduces his work in a clear, punchy way; the services page outlines SDA and NDIS offerings with confidence and simplicity; the products page provides key information about the tech and gear he installs, without overwhelming users with jargon. The copy balances professional clarity with Bryce’s down-to-earth voice, building trust from the first scroll.

Hardcoded Development

With content and design finalised, I transitioned everything into code using Next.js 15. The site was built entirely from scratch, no CMS, no libraries that weren’t essential, and no fluff. This gave us full control over performance and responsiveness. Pages were structured semantically, with reusable layout components and mobile-first styling. Because the site is static, it loads extremely fast and doesn’t require any backend management, which made it a perfect match for Bryce’s low-maintenance preference.

Deployment and Hosting

The completed site was deployed to Vercel, which offered a reliable and cost-effective solution for hosting. I configured the domain, added an SSL certificate for security, and ran full device testing before switching the DNS. The result was a smooth, professional launch with a permanent URL that Bryce could begin using immediately in quotes, tenders, and social media links.

SEO and Analytics Setup

To help the site get found quickly, I implemented solid SEO foundations, semantic HTML, page titles and descriptions, structured headings, and alt text for every image. I submitted the sitemap to Google Search Console to get it indexed early and added Google Analytics so Bryce could track how visitors were engaging with each page. All of this was done using lightweight tools, with no plugins or bulky integrations needed.

Final Handover and Support

At the end of the project, I provided Bryce with a complete walkthrough of how the site works, along with access to all code files and documentation. Because the site is hardcoded, he doesn’t have to worry about updates, CMS logins, or plugin conflicts. It’s lean, fast, and stable, exactly what he asked for. And when Bryce needs changes in the future, I’ll be here to help him evolve the site as the business grows.

“This website’s a game changer. I’ve had people find me through Google for the first time ever. And I can actually update things myself; it’s not a pain. Thanks legend.” — Bryce

The Solution

A fully custom, hardcoded website built with performance, simplicity, and clear messaging at its core.

The Outcome

A fast, trustworthy, mobile-friendly website that Bryce proudly shares with clients, and that’s already helping generate new business.
